The Fool

Game Objective: Be the first to get rid of all your cards. The last player left with cards is the Fool.

Each player is dealt a certain number of cards (default is 6).

If trump cards are enabled, the bottom card of the deck determines the trump suit.

And yes, the cards are marked.

Controls:

• Space – start the game and end your turn (attack, defense or throwing in).
• Shift – fold and unfold your cards (they will be sorted).

Turn Flow:

• Attack: The attacking player places cards of the same rank on the table.
• Defense: The player to their right (the defender) must beat them with a card of the same suit and higher rank, or with a trump card. A trump card can only be beaten by a higher trump.
• Transfer: If the defender has a card of the same rank as one on the table, they can throw it in and transfer the turn to the player on their right.
• Draw: If enabled, the defender may draw cards from the deck, but no more than the number of cards they currently need to defend against.
• Throwing in: If the cards are beaten, other players (including the attacker) may throw in additional cards of the same rank as those already on the table (both attacking cards and beaten ones). The defender must beat these as well. The maximum number of cards that can be thrown in equals the number of cards remaining in the defender's hand.

End of Turn:

• If the defender beats all cards – they are removed from the table, and the turn passes to the defender.
• If the defender fails to beat even one card – they take all the cards from the table into their hand, and the turn passes to the next player after them.
• After the turn ends, all players draw cards from the deck until they have 6 cards (starting with the attacker).

Game Settings:

• Without player (Bots only) – the player will play automatically, just like the other bots.
• With trump cards – enables or disables trump cards in the game.
• Transfer game – enables the ability to transfer the turn with a card of the same rank.
• Bots can cheat – bots may throw in cards of a different rank and defend with unsuitable cards. Click on such card to make the bot take it back.
• Can draw cards on defense – enables drawing cards during defense.
• Start with jester – the player starts the game with a Jester. This is a one-time card that can be used to defend against any attack.
• Number of players – how many players will participate.
• Minimum cards in hand – the number of cards dealt at the start and the number players will draw up to at the end of each turn.
